For the Skype assignment, I lined up an interview and tour with the Visual Arts Center in Sioux Falls that had a current exhibition of Ansel Adams photography. For preparation for the Skype interview, students learned about Ansel Adams and learned about his life. After they learned about him, I also had students come up with questions about the Visual Arts Center and Ansel Adams. The director of the Visual Arts Center, David Merhib, was very knowledgeable and had great questions for the students. The students enjoyed coming up to the camera and seeing themselves on the screen. Overall, it was very successful and something that my students will remember as a unique learning experience.
